How long does it take to receive funds from the New Hampshire Child Care Scholarship?

Once your application and all required documents are submitted, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will make a final eligibility decision within 30 days. If approved, payments are made directly to your chosen licensed child care provider.

For applicants experiencing homelessness, expedited child care assistance may be authorized within 7 days of application submission. 


What do the application steps look like?

  2. Collect necessary documents such as proof of income, employment, and residency.

  3. Fill out the application online via NH EASY or submit a paper application to your local District Office.

  4. Provide all required documentation to DHHS for review.

  6. Choose a licensed child care provider that participates in the scholarship program.

  7. Once approved, DHHS will make payments directly to your selected provider to cover eligible child care costs.
