What is Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) in New Mexico?
New Mexico’s ECSE program, overseen by the Early Childhood Education & Care Department (ECECD), provides support for children ages 3 to 5 with developmental delays or disabilities under IDEA Part B-619. It works alongside the FIT Program serving ages 0 to 3 under IDEA Part C, to ensure families receive the right services at each stage.
How do I apply for ECSE?

Referral or Contact

How long does it take to receive services?
