RSIC Child Care Program

A "how to" guide to help you navigate the application process for the RSIC Child Care Program.

What is the RSIC Child Care Program?

The RSIC Child Care Program, part of the tribe’s 477 self-sufficiency initiative, offers center-based care for children aged 3 months to 13 years. It supports tribal families living on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and Hungry Valley, helping those who are working, seeking employment, or attending school/training. Meals are provided through the CACFP and tribal funding, and there is a sliding-scale fee for eligible participants.

How do I apply?

  1. Download and complete the RSIC Child Care Application (PDF) through the RSIC Education Department – 477 Program

  2. Gather required documents (see next section).

  3. Submit in person at:

    • Reno Center: 34A Reservation Rd, Reno, NV 89502

    • Hungry Valley Center: 9055 Eagle Canyon Rd, Sparks, NV 89441
Or mail or fax the application to the Education Department.

  4. Schedule employment/training/job-search verification with your 477 Case Manager.
